I cannot thank all of you enough that had your pond on the tour last year, for the second annual McLake pond tour, we managed to raise about 1000 pounds of food for the McHenry and Lake County food pantries.

This year's Patio & Pond Tour is going to be 82 degrees and sunny. Spend a beautiful summer day outside on August 6th and 7th anytime between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. exploring the spectacular possibilities of a backyard oasis in McHenry and Lake County while attending the 2011 annual McLake Patio and Pond Tour. Throughout the free self guided pond and patio walk, homeowners will showcase their ponds, fountains, waterfalls, patios, and bridges that make up their personal paradise. Not only is the McHenry and Lake County Patio and Pond Tour a premium opportunity to be immersed in beautifully designed landscapes, water gardens and patios but it is also an annual food drive presented by Wyld Creek and Santafe Brick and Patio in an effort to raise two tons of food for McHenry and Lake County food pantries.

We are asking those that would like to help us raise 2 TONS of food, meet new friends, and see beautiful backyard getaways to invite all of their friends and family to join them while attending this year's McLake Patio & Pond Tour!

13 Laura D. 1204 W Circle Ct McHenry, IL 60051 Pond Natural setting 16' x 18' pond with wide waterfall surrounded by large flower gardens including over 250 different rose bushes and 200 different perennials. The 5,000 gallon pond is 15 years old and home to 21 large koi. Wheelchair Accessible 6, 7

It is a fully-lined 100' x 70' swimming pond, nestled in a 6 acre wooded lot with an assortment of perennials. There is a 12' waterfall cascading 3 levels down. Next to the waterfalls is a bog providing a natural filtration system with stepping stones to cross over their own waterfalls. There are fish galore and a flagstone sidewalk surrounding the pond. This meandering walk takes you across the zero-edge area via a natural bridge (containing a 20,000 gph pump). The opposing dive platform allows you dive into 200,000 gallons of fish, frogs and photo opportunities. 6, 7

You stroll over the pond - with a waterfall on one side and zero-edge on the other. Currently the pond is home to approximately 70 koi and shebunkins. This pond runs year round; yes, even in the winter. The fish have survived all winter for the last 3 years. Even our horrid winter blizzard last year! The gardens are infinitely expanding. Upper patio has beautiful outside kitchen that has a built in grill, bar island and a fireplace. Perfect for entertaining! Lower level is perfect for sitting down and relaxing and you hear the water from the waterfall. When visiting this property you must enter the subdivision through the main gate. 6, 7

The showroom is displaying a fireplace, water features, bar, built in grill, sitting area with a fire pit and so much more. The water feature is naturally filtered by a 10' x 10' zero-edge basin. The pond is stocked with goldfish and the yard is beautifully planted both and inside and outside the pond. 6, 7
